Charlotte Concert Update: Lil Wayne is NOT Quitting the Blink-182 Tour
You may have heard some “fake news” recently based around the heavily anticipated duo-headlined tour of Lil Wayne and Blink-182. A concert scheduled to grace the Charlotte community was rumored to be missing one of the headliners.
Last week the tour stopped in Virginia, and news quickly circled that the multi award-winning rapper Lil Wayne abruptly ended his set, stating that “This might be my last night (on the tour).” For those who have already purchased tickets for the July 23rd show at Charlotte’s PNC Music Pavilion, fear and disappointment immediately onset.

But that’s where it ends. We are here to tell you that Lil Wayne has retracted his statement made on stage in Virginia as he later Tweeted the following on July 12th:
“Yesterday was krazy! But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor,ME See you tomorrow!”
Lil Wayne went on to perform a full set during the Bangor, ME show, and even came out saying “This is the f***ing s**t I’m trying to walk out to every night.”
So, worry no longer, Charlotte. The Lil Wayne & Blink-182 concert coming to the Queen City next week is still on, and man are we excited. A rare combination of two incredibly talented performances is something that we have been eagerly waiting since the tour was announced. This is sure to be a concert for the ages that you won’t want to miss.
