Meet Charlotte's Rising Indie Pop Duo, Future Friend
Future Friend is an indie-electropop duo based in Charlotte, NC. Comprised of siblings Mitch and Faith Froemming, the two write and produce all their own music from their bedroom studio. The music is a major factor in their sound, but the two are equally passionate about songwriting and crafting meaningful lyrics.
The brother-sister duo started in music by playing bluegrass with their family and friends across Minnesota and surrounding states throughout the Midwest. The bluegrass style still influences their music today, but it has grown to include pop and alternative sounds similar to that of the popular London-based alternative pop duo, Oh Wonder.
The name Future Friend comes from a passion that Faith and Mitch both have when it comes to building relationships and encouraging people to achieve their goals. Their goal is to make music that helps them connect with people and build a strong community with their “future friends.”
Future Friend has an upcoming show at Heist Brewery in NoDa on Thursday 11/14 with another local Charlotte band, The Mongos. The show will feature incredible local talent, and for a glimpse of what you can expect to see, check out their recent music video for their latest single, Fire:
