Listen to Frankie B: A Charlotte-Raised R&B/Neo-Soul Vibe Creator & Mood Setter

Frank “Frankie B” Bauknight is a singer, songwriter and creative born and raised locally in Charlotte, NC. His original music is a unique blend of neo-soul, R&B and Lo-Fi, during which he also shifts to lyrical rap, hip-hop and contemporary music.

Frankie B is a vibe creator and mood setter. Living his life through his music, his goal is to help people fall in love with real R&B and soul again. A few of the inspirations that can be heard throughout his work include the likes of OutKast, Eryka Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jodeci, J Cole and H.E.R., among others.

Frankie B performs often throughout the Queen City. Past shows include Speed Street Charlotte and Sofar Sounds intimate concerts, and his next scheduled QC concert is set for March 22nd, 2020 at The Art Haus in Charlotte. He currently has an EP and two albums available for listening on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

Intuition, Frankie B’s first album, was released in 2018 and was an experimental project that is “full of emotion and life.” S.W.Y.M., which stands for Say What You Mean, is his latest album and is intended to encourage listeners to say what’s on their mind, helping to keep from drowning in their own thoughts and emotions. Witnessing Frankie B perform any of the tracks on either album, or his 2017 EP titled The Start of Something Blue, is truly a treat. When asked what makes his music unique, he put it simply: “My music always speaks to the soul and heart. It will instantly create an atmosphere and make people feel again.”
