BOA Stadium Will Play Host to a Number of Big Name Artists in 2020

You’ve probably heard by now – Bank of America Stadium will be hosting concerts this year!

The home of the Carolina Panthers opens its doors to music for the first time since 2014, and the guest list is already starting to fill up with big names. All four of the concerts announced so far will showcase artists that have made a living on the big stage.

Billy Joel - Saturday, April 18th (**PPD - 4/17/2021)

Billy Joel might be the most highly anticipated show of the year. This legendary man is 70 years old and has produced 13 studio albums in his storied career, touching the hearts of multiple generations of people around the globe. He has sold out shows at Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, and so many other major international venues. The Piano Man from the Bronx is no stranger to a packed house, and hopefully he’ll play some of his most famous hits from his iconic studio album, The Stranger. This album only has 8 tracks, but it includes ‘Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)’, ‘Only The Good Die Young’, ‘She’s Always A Woman’, and one of our personal favorites, ‘Vienna’.

Garth Brooks - Saturday, May 2nd (**PPD - 6/13/2020)

Garth Brooks is the second highest selling musician of all time, listed by Business Insider at 148 million units sold. He has sold more than Elvis Presley, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, and Elton John (in that order, and just to name a few). Only The Beatles have sold more, with a ridiculous 183 million units. Garth Brooks has been lighting up the charts for decades, and the tickets for this concert are likely to cost a pretty penny. There won’t be a bad seat in the house, but hopefully you’ll be looking up at the stage when he plays ‘Friends In Low Places’.

The Rolling Stones - Wednesday, July 1st (**PPD - Date TBA)

The Rolling Stones are one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. From Gimme Shelter to (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, the group has regularly released chart-topping hits since they first played in London in 1962. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will bring the No Filter tour to BOA Stadium this summer, one of the 15 stadiums they will play in across the United States & Canada in 2020. Check out the setlists for the most recent stops of the 3-year long tour to make sure you’re ready for what will be a night to remember.

Mötley Crüe & Def Leppard with Poison - Saturday, July 11th

These artists appeal to a different demographic than Garth Brooks or Billy Joel, but they should have no problem filling out the BOA Stadium with fans that want a more lively and hard rocking evening. Mötley Crüe will be testing the strength of the speakers with some of their heavy metal hits like ‘Home Sweet Home’, ‘Girls Girls Girls’, ‘Dr. Feelgood’, and ‘Shout At The Devil’. The English rock band Def Leppard has been around since the late 1970’s and continues to put on a great show of their biggest songs, like Pour Some Sugar On Me and Photograph. With Bret Michaels and Poison joining forces on this tour, it is sure to be a wild night.
