Chelsea Locklear Combines Jazzy, Hip Hop Vocals with a Pop Folk Sound & It's Remarkable
Chelsea Locklear is a talented singer-songwriter based in Charlotte, NC. Originally from West Palm Beach, FL, Locklear moved to the Queen City four years ago. She has since developed a faithful fanbase throughout the area that has come to know her as Chelseasingsalot.
Locklear’s music will hook you in from the very first listen. Jazzy, hip hop vocals are crossed with a pop folk sound highlighted by Locklear’s talent as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. And not only are her songs both catchy and fun to listen to, but they are also relatable. “I sing about life. All of it. The good, the bad, and the in-between. I love to take a story and make it a memory for you to sing to,” Locklear mentions on her Facebook page.
From Me to You is the title of Locklear’s first full length album, which was released in 2018. Along with a 6-track EP and two additional singles, the album is available for streaming on Spotify and other major streaming platforms. The first track off of the album, titled The French Song, features a music video that offers the perfect taste of what Locklear’s music is all about. Locklear plays throughout the Charlotte area on a regular basis. She has also opened for the nationally touring act, Carbon Leaf, and taken the stage with rock stars like Duff McKagan and Gary Greene. Locklear’s next scheduled Charlotte concert is slated for March 10th when she sets the stage for nationally touring artist, Clark Beckham, at the Evening Muse.
