The month of March is set to feature so many big names that it can be tough to keep track of all the shows you’re hoping to check out. In an effort to help sort it out, we put together a list of the nine biggest can’t miss concerts of the month. From jazz to hip-hip to country to rock and much more, March has something for everyone.

RÜFÜS DU SOL – March 3rd @ The Fillmore

The Australian musical group is self-styled as part of the “alternative dance” genre, and they certainly live up to that hype. The electronic music, catchy beats, and great vocals of RÜFÜS DU SOL make you feel like you’re riding up and down on a wave that you never want to end. The Fillmore will host the talented group for a Tuesday night concert that will be one for the ages.

Sturgill Simpson & Tyler Childers – March 6th @ Spectrum Center

John Sturgill Simpson is an award-winning country music singer-songwriter who took home the Grammy for Best Country Album in 2017 with his second album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. Joined by Tyler Childers, a Grammy-nominated country music artist himself, Simpson takes to the stage of the Spectrum Center for the venue’s biggest country concert since Old Dominion visited last September. For the country music fans of Charlotte, this is an arena performance that you won’t want to miss.

Cody Webb & Jake Haldenvang – March 13th @ Coyote Joe’s

Cody Webb is a South Carolina native who gained quick popularity with the release of his single She’s Carolina in 2016. Webb will be accompanied by Jake Haldenvang, a popular country singer based in the Charlotte area who generated quite the buzz when he competed on Season 17 of NBC’s The Voice. Webb and Haldenvang will take over Coyote Joe’s – which was recently nominated for the American Country Music “Club of the Year” Award – on Friday the 13th

Joe Barna – March 13th & 14th @ Middle C Jazz

Joe Barna is a renowned jazz musician, drummer and composer from New York City. Along with his band, Sketches of Influence, Barna will be traveling all the way to Charlotte’s premier jazz venue to record a live album. Led by Barna, Sketches of Influence specifically inquired about recording their new album during a live show at Middle C Jazz after Barna first visited the venue on the night of its grand opening in November of 2019. If there was ever a concert to mark as a “can’t-miss concert,” especially for jazz aficionados, this is the one.

Michael Bublé – March 18th @ Spectrum Center

The talented vocalist and songwriter comes to Charlotte on a Wednesday night, performing at the Spectrum Center in front of what is sure to be a sold-out crowd. The Canadian artist has been an international favorite for quite some time now and has topped the charts for both his standard music and his Christmas albums. Blue October – March 19th @ The Fillmore

Blue October, a Houston, TX-based alternative rock band, will take the stage at The Fillmore in the Music Factory during the middle of the month. Some of their songs like Hate Me have a classic 90’s edge to them, while other top songs like Into the Ocean have a funkier and more uplifting vibe, despite the emotionally charged lyrics. The band has been performing since 1995 and has maintained a steady following, making this is a great concert to fill a Thursday night in March.

Steve Aoki – March 25th @ The Fillmore

Steve Aoki is a popular DJ and record producer who rose to fame with his legendary dance remix of Kid Cudi’s Pursuit of Happiness. In 2012, Aoki was recognized by Pollstar Magazine as the “highest grossing dance artist in North America from tours.” Today, Aoki remains one of the most popular DJs in the world and plays over 200 concerts each year – one of which will take place at The Fillmore in Charlotte towards the end of the month.

The Marshall Tucker Band – March 28th @ The Fillmore

The Marshall Tucker Band is coming back and performing at the same venue as last time – The Fillmore in the Music Factory. The South Carolina band has been touring the world for over four decades, playing their timeless blend of folk and rock. They’ll be sure to feature all the hits, including Fire On The Mountain, Heard It In A Love Song, and Can’t You See.

Young M.A – March 29th @ The Underground

Charlotte area hip-hop fans – be sure to mark your calendars for March 29th. Young M.A, an American rapper who garnered widespread popularity with her triple platinum hit single Ooouuu in 2016, will take the stage at The Underground.  Young M.A’s debut album, titled Herstory in the Making, was released in September of 2019 and reached number 16 on the Billboard 200.
