Jam Out with The River Ratz - "Born in Bluegrass, Bred in Rock 'N' Roll"

Have you had the chance to see to the River Ratz live yet? If not, you need to soon. They play throughout the greater Charlotte area on a regular basis and have upcoming shows which can be found below. The River Ratz is an acoustic Americana band made up of two married couples that were “born in bluegrass and bred in rock ‘n’ roll.”

Self-referred to as a “mid-life crisis band,” these guys make for an awesome time. Bringing an upbeat, lively and fun energy to every stage that is fortunate enough to have them, the band released their debut, self-titled album River Ratz this past April, and it is now available on Spotify.

The River Ratz plays a mix of originals and popular covers, ranging in genres from bluegrass to rock, and everything in between. With more than 60 years of marriage between them, the band members include Steve & Margie Ratzlaff, and Scott & Suman Lankford. The band’s mission is “to entertain audiences of all ages with tuneful acoustic music,” and that is exactly what they do. If you’re looking for a fun night full of enjoyable music, be sure to catch an upcoming show.

The band plays at Ol’ Front Porch Festival in Oriental, NC on Friday and Saturday of this weekend, and their next Charlotte-area performance will be on Sunday 10/13 at Cabarrus Brewing Company in Concord, NC. Can’t wait til then? Neither can we! That’s why we’ll have their Tiny Stage Concert on repeat until then. It’s the most viewed Tiny Stage Concert of all time, and we highly recommend giving it a listen.
